Meet the Artist

Welcome! I’m Allison, a studio artist living in Paso Robles, CA. I grew up in Benicia, CA and have been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I have been fascinated with animals my entire life, especially cats, dogs, horses, and birds. As a child, I would spend hours on the floor looking through animal photography books and sketching all of my favorites. I would often get caught drawing in class, and practiced improving at every chance I found. I lightly experimented with acrylic paints when I was in high school, but began painting custom animal portraits after graduating from Sonoma State University in 2016.

My style is bringing photos to canvas; I try to capture the personality of these animals and the tiny details that make them each so unique. My goal is to evoke emotion with my paintings, and make the viewer feel as they are looking into the eyes of their beloved animal :)

I specialize in pet portraits, however I am always open to other requests as well. I have done landscapes, rainbow style art, graffiti, animated characters, and even a Pokémon.
