Clark and Bella
American Bulldog & Pitbull Mixes
18” x 24” Acrylic on canvas
Clark and Bella are beloved family to Lori and Todd and are remarkable rescue success stories. Bella (right) was found in 2015 severely injured with a metal choke chain embedded in her neck. She was operated on at Ventura County Animal Services, fostered, and finally adopted into the loving home of my Aunt and Uncle. Clark (left) was also rescued from abuse in 2017, and is to this day still traumatized and cannot even have a toy thrown for him (afraid someone will hurt him). These dogs are some of the sweetest and most gentle souls you will ever meet, and they deserve the world!
“This is AMAZING! You captured their intense love stares so well. And thank you for recognizing their trauma. Bella’s scar and Clark’s look of uncertainty. They both wear their scars beautifully and proudly.” — Lori
